nice price deal !!! for many years, musicians from the southern hemisphere have brought diversity to the electronic scene through their music and labels - sei es drum, cadenza and ruta 5 are testament to this. many of the first generation of chilean electronic musicians had to leave in exile for the old continent � mixing their heritage with europes culture to great success. from the mid-90s until today, this nexus has maintained an effervescent creative energy in chile. currently, the second generation of chilean producers - influenced by villalobos, luciano and dandy jack among other greats - are following in the footsteps of their predecessors and showing their countrys sound around the world in meccas of techno and house like fabric london, panorama bar, amensia, rex, concrete, montreux jazz festival and resolute nyc. we now arrive at drummas 17th vinyl release where we bring together three producers from the new blood: luis ordenes aka umho, felipe venegas and alejandro vivanco.

van abbes fresh no comment release presenting 2 originals, a killer remix by the exaltics and a debut track by pantone 32. it wasnt until she opened the old pocket watch � its timeworn silver surface glimmering slightly in the darkness � that she understood that something was terribly wrong. it was audibly pounding in her hand like some kind of bizarre metal heart. and it was decidedly running backwards. she could not move and she could not take her eyes off the spinning indicators. >stop<, she whispered. then again, louder this time: >stop!<. the watch stopped and fell silent. she exhaled and moved uneasily on the spot. the floorboards creaked. wait. the floorboards? there werent any floorboards in her room. it was all concrete and glass and�. her room wasnt there anymore. she was standing in an old workshop brimming with ancient-looking machinery covered in sawdust. no-one was operating the equipment but their ghostly echoes were still floating through the air, buzzing, hammering, humming � almost melodic to her ears. the pocket watch came to life in her hand, acting as a steady metronome to the spectral orchestra. she wasnt home anymore. but it certainly was.

van abbe is back with no comment presenting 2 originals, a monologue from guy tavares (bunker records) + an evigt mörker remix. what did you feel the first time you were stargazing? standing alone in a dark backyard with your neck bent and the light from a thousand distant suns glittering in your bright eyes. did the overwhelming sensation of your own triviality descend upon your young soul like a dementor from azkaban? or did an unprecedented yearning breach every fibre of your being, compelling you to break free from the shackles binding you to the very ground? if you are in the latter category, this music is constructed especially for you. its a spaceship built from wooden barrels and rusty metal crates, pinned together with a multitude of crooked nails. but it works. it really does. you just have to make your mind broad enough to fit your clumsy terrestrial body in the spacecraft. the booming engines and the melodic bleeps from the control panel will do the rest. soon enough you�ll find yourself surrounded by the very stars you used to gaze upon as a child.

following the success of their last release, xandrus >fading dreams ep<, which enjoyed notable support from (arpiar) stalwart rhadoo, nastia, anthea and yaya, to name but a few, vinyl only imprint ldn will return to the shelves in early december with their third 12inch installment. this time around label boss scott kemp will be providing the goods, in the form of a four track ep, aptly named >1988<, the year of scott s naissence. featuring three exquisite original tracks accompanied by a sublime remix from romanian producer nu zau, scott kemps years of experience honing his productions skills are laid bare from start to finish, as he continues to assert his affinity for stripped back, percussive driven techno with this pulsating composition. the ep debuts with >1988<, which feels evocative with its atmospheric vibe and slower pace, coupled with its deep bass, hypnotic synths and spacey sounds. in contrast, >konman< is more alert and its dynamic rhythm invariably encourages one to dance, as the latter part of the track welcomes warm and bouncy synths, complimentary to its percussive elements.
